Starting Point
The Italian restaurant is situated on a bustling street in Tokyo, surrounded by vibrant neighborhoods. The space features a large entrance and high ceiling, creating an open environment that feels as if it seamlessly extended to the outside, reminiscent of a cave carved from a concrete frame. The goal was to organically connect the interior of the restaurant with the surrounding urban landscape, while still cultivating a warm and inviting atmosphere for dining.

Solution
For the interior design materials and finishes were thoughtfully selected to maintain the openness of the space. Curtains with NAXOS in the same pale shade used throughout the room gently drape over the lightly painted frame walls, introducing a softness that contrasts with the raw, cave-like structure. Here, fabric transcends its traditional role, becoming an integral architectural element rather than just a decorative curtain. By harmonizing these subtle details with the building elements and the vibrant energy of the street, the dining experience feels both immersive and inviting.
