Starting Point
The Jobcenter is faced with the challenge of rethinking its existing premises — with the goal of creating flexible spaces for workshops, seminars, and creative formats such as design thinking sessions. The repeated rental of external co-creation spaces is to be replaced by a multifunctional, in-house room concept. What’s needed is a work environment that is adaptable, inspiring for both internal and external teams, and, when required, can also be used across locations.
Solution
Designfunktion Nürnberg, led by Peggy Bergner in collaboration with the acoustic consultancy Schall & Raum, has developed a spatial concept that equally promotes agile working and creative processes. At its core is the space-defining acoustic partition curtain system ACOUSTIC DIVIDER VARIO. Equipped with an integrated NoiseBlocker and the dense acoustic fabrics ALEX and LORD, it enables effective sound insulation of up to 23 decibels—while offering maximum adaptability.
The transparent curtain fabrics SINFONIA and JASPIS on the windows ensure a pleasant lighting atmosphere. The finely textured leno weave NAXOS adds visual depth to the colour concept through its tactile textile quality and refined colour effect.
