Starting Point
Karimoku is a renowned furniture manufacturer with over 80 years of experience in creating high-quality wooden furniture, combining state-of-the-art technology with traditional craftsmanship. With «Karimoku Commons», the company has introduced a new spatial concept that goes beyond traditional furniture sales: a meeting place where design, craftsmanship, and lifestyle converge. In response to changing values and lifestyles, the focus is on how spaces can be designed to be not only aesthetically pleasing but also functional and inspiring.
Solution
The showroom concept is based on the principle of «Mazaru» – the harmonious interaction of various elements such as architecture, furniture, art, and craftsmanship. The open, spacious area has been structured through deliberate zoning, creating a natural balance between openness and intimacy. Textile elements played a key role in this design: the elegant SOPRANO COLOR curtains provide subtle spatial division and create a pleasant lighting ambiance. The vertical blinds IROLO offer flexible zoning while adding architectural accents. To optimise acoustics and foster a warm atmosphere, the ACOUSTIC STRIPES acoustic blinds were also incorporated. This thoughtful selection of materials creates a harmonious blend of functionality and aesthetics, inviting visitors to experience the showroom in a multifaceted way.
