Kyoya Office – Tokyo

Textile lightness meets functional design.

Starting Point
For the new headquarters of the KYOYA Corporation in Tokyo, a former school building was converted into modern office, showroom and meeting areas. The aim was to create flexible room zones that are convincing in terms of function and design – especially with regard to lighting and room separation.

Solution
The textile realisation was carried out with curtains that were convincing in terms of both function and design. Balanced light transmission and a wide selection of grey tones were important in order to create a harmonious connection to the walls, floor coverings and furnishings. SHADOW MEDIUM was chosen for the reception area – a curtain fabric in elegant silver-grey that harmonises perfectly with the stainless steel and melamine surfaces used thanks to its modern look and subtle lighting effect.
SCALA was used in the meeting rooms – a semi-transparent curtain fabric with a natural, linen-like appearance.
