Starting Point

Complete renovation of the Pestalozzi school building in Aarau.

The important features of this renovation included the building’s protection as a historical monument, energy-related aspects, sustainability and functionality.

Solution

After it was renovated, the school hall sparkled like new: the original decorative plasterwork had been revealed once more and the wall surfaces had been hung with a sound-absorbent textile.

The TONY fabric has excellent acoustic qualities and had been printed in a design by artist Vreni Spieser, using a special printing process.
