Starting Point

Tried and tested design: A hotel-style infrastructure with personalised flats of different sizes. All of this at the most central location, a new building by Basel architects Herzog & de Meuron.

Solution

The spectacular façade with its three-dimensional, offset window geometry provides the flats with an abundance of light and visual accessibility. The blackout curtain runs on two parallel curtain rails, enabling residents to control their desired degree of view and visibility.
